Future Family Center, LLC is a physical therapy clinic geared towards helping all members of the family be the best version of themselves. We do this by helping them understand physical changes associated with development and aging and optimizing movement for pain free physical health and wellness. We help people via an individualized movement plan for each patient. We are Physical Therapy and Wellness to Move You Forward!
I am a learner, a helper, and an analyzer. Types 1, 3, and 5 if you are into the Enneagram stuff. I have always looked for my next challenge in life and my career. My adult life has been marked by milestones of becoming a PT first, then a wife, then a mom, and then a business owner. I have 2 children and 2 Physical Therapy clinics (and a very supportive husband)!
I built my first clinic, Future Physical Therapy in Foley AL, in 2020 to increase the availability of Pelvic Health services into an area that is not only lacking in availability of these services, but also has little knowledge of what exactly a Pelvic Floor PT does for our patients.
In 2023, we moved home to Meridian MS and have opened Future Family Center, Physical Therapy & Wellness, to provide excellent physical therapy care with a wellness mindset to those living in Meridian and surrounding areas. With this clinic we will be impacting lives in all areas of physical therapy, from birth to advanced age, but my specialty in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and NOW Lactation counseling will be my personal primary focus at this clinic.
I grew up in the greater Seattle area and have enjoyed living in several states from coast to coast. I'm thrilled to now be in Meridian with my husband and our two dogs. We love traveling, cooking, and dancing together. My favorite place so far has been Germany and my dream is to become fluent in German- though I’m a little out of practice now!
While living on the west coast, I taught ballroom dancing and competed professionally. I’ve always been passionate about helping people move, so becoming a physical therapist was a natural next step for me. I’ve found dance to be an invaluable tool in physical therapy, especially for those with balance impairments and neurological conditions.
Not into dancing? No problem! I’m all about working with my patients to think outside the box and find solutions that best fit each individual situation. From back pain to TMJ dysfunction, I want to help my patients thrive and live life to the fullest. Being a physical therapist means being a team with my patients, and I’m so excited to join that team with Future Family Center Physical Therapy and Wellness!
I am a native of Lauderdale County. I am a graduate of the University of West Alabama and Meridian Community College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant.
I have a passion for helping others recover strength and physical mobility to live a fully functional life. In addition, I look to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for each of my patients. I also strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for every patient I work with. I have worked in many aspects of the therapy field including skilled nursing facilities, home health, pediatrics, and an outpatient facility. I am thrilled to join Future Family Center Physical Therapy and Wellness.
I grew up in Clarke County and graduated in 2010 from Enterprise High School. From there, I moved to Meridian which is where my family resides. I lived in Meridian for several years until I married my husband in 2018. Now, my husband and I live in Philadelphia and we have a tiny poultry farm, 4 furbabies, and finally, after 5 years of unexplained infertility, we are expecting our 1st baby in February 2025! I can’t help but to praise God for the journey I have been on so far and for the many blessings I have received.
Even though I now call Philadelphia home, Meridian will always have my heart. Which is one of the many reasons why I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with everyone at Future Family Center.
I’m a native to Meridian. My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years. We are involved in our church where he is the student minister. My favorite place to be is the beach. I enjoy kayaking, anything outside, and hand stitching!
I’ve been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 8 years working primarily with peds in the school district. I’ve worked some in a skilled nursing facility as well. Some of the speech/language areas I have experience in and enjoy treating are: language impairment, articulation disorders, developmental delay, autism, stuttering, word finding issues, memory, attention, swallowing, etc.
What I love about my job is that SLPs can treat stroke victims, TBI patients, and an array of language/speech issues that pediatrics to elderly can have from natural aging, developmental issues, or effects from brain injuries. It’s truly the most rewarding field!
I’m so excited to join the team working PRN as an SLP to help all ages at Future Family Center Physical Therapy and Wellness! I will continue my work as Speech Therapist at Southeast Elementary School.
Raised in Lauderdale County, I graduated from Southeast High School in 1991 with the goal of working in PT. I obtained a four-year degree in Health and Kinesiology from Mississippi University for Women in 1995, then attended MCC's Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
I have worked many places in my career thus far, but I am now super excited to have added Future Family Center Physical Therapy & Wellness to my list of current PRN facilities.
I absolutely love working with Kayla and Shellye, and all the fantastic patients. I look forward to seeing growth in the Future Family Center as the community is served in so many amazing ways.
As a side gig, I have been a Mary Kay consultant for almost 8 years. I tend to pass my savings on to my clients, but my daughters and I always have what we need in the way of skin care and makeup.
I wouldn't be who I am today without God, my loving family, my First Baptist Church of Meridian family, and my wonderful friends. However, one of the greatest joys in my life is my precious one year old granddaughter, Bethany Claire. Life is grand in the role of MiMi!
Future Physical Therapy and the team in Foley, AL continue to do amazing things to serve the gulf coast with access to specialty care for pelvic health conditions. The team consists of 4 clinicians and our Office Administrator who keeps everyone, including Kayla, in line.
Future Physical Therapy has been an amazing learning adventure over the last 4 years and will continue to thrive as a sister company to Future Family Center.
